I still remember the moment vividly.
I was on a Zoom call with a potential client. We’d just wrapped up a great conversation about their brand. They were engaged, excited, and nodding along with every idea I offered. I felt good-confident even.
Then they asked the question:
“So… what do you charge?” And that’s when it happened-my brain froze.
What came out of my mouth next was a mumbled, awkward number I blurted out to fill the silence. I undersold myself. Again. And I knew it the second I said it.
The worst part? They said yes without hesitation.
Which meant I had priced myself far too low.
When the call ended, I sat there, deflated at the screen.
